I’m absolutely exhausted as it feels like I’ve been non-stop, plus I had a really broken night. I took the boy to a Games Workshop this afternoon as a treat, and he got to paint a free figure. It was some great upselling, and the manager both knew his stuff and had an admirable attention to everything going on in the shop. I felt tired just watching him.
To pass some time therefore, as I’ve cancelled going out this evening, I sat down with Dungeon Alchemist once more, and made a generic 40×35 map that I can plug in as and when a suitable occasion appears.
Set either side of a flooded ravine, this small hamlet of four cabins and a tavern could be a small enclave of goat herders, or it could be a hillside home away from home for semi-retired adventurers who may or may not be in attendance at the time. The tavern is partially built into a hillside, with its pantry entirely inside for a steady cool temperature. The simple wooden bridge across the ravine is in good repair – but the broken upturned boat on the beach below may have been the source of at least some of the timbers.
