I thought I’d have a bit of a play with the updated D&D rule set to make a new character, and then of course I had to make a Heroforge set of tokens to add to the sheet. Meet Olas Derrim, a Goliath Druid of the Primal Order who follows the path of the magician. As someone descended from giants, he strikes an imposing image. He stands over eight foot in height, but while he can loom very effectively, he isn’t as strong as might be expected. Olas has a wisdom beyond his years instead, and patience developed in his youth working local farms.

His knowledge of the wild beasts and livestock of the lands he grew in sparked a deep and abiding love of the natural world that led him to the druidic life. He talks to animals as casually as his neighbours gossip with each other, and can draw on spiritual energies that manifest as animals and birds to aid him and his allies. His hardiness and toughness is spoken of widely – especially when he has shrugged off blows from bandits that would have killed many others. He remains calm, almost detached, in the face of danger – as sturdy as the rocks that some say birthed him and his people.

Olas is a third level druid – and here’s a link to his character sheet – https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/137105583/osjvwr – I see him as a mystic and support character rather than a raging creature of battle, and I hope that comes through in some of the choices here.
